Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure system develops offshore of NSW this evening and extends across into the Tasman Sea tomorrow ahead of a trough currently over South Australia. The trough moves over central NSW later on Monday, extending across northeast NSW on Tuesday. A gusty south southwesterly change will follow behind the trough on Tuesday, associated with a ridge of high pressure extending from a strong high pressure system over the Bight. The high pressure ridge will dominate the weather into the later half of the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of coastal showers this evening, more likely in the south. Some light patchy rain developing in the southwest this afternoon and evening, although mostly evaporating before reaching the ground. Fine otherwise. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 28 OctoberIsolated showers, tending scattered in the far southeast. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the northeast and southeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot in the west. Very high fire danger ratings except over the southeast of the state. Northwest to northeasterly winds turning west to southwesterly in the west, freshening over the southwestern inland.Tuesday 29 OctoberIsolated showers in the east with possible thunderstorms in the northeast. Fine elsewhere. Hot in the north. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast, and southwest to southeasterly winds extending through the remainder freshening along the coast.Wednesday 30 OctoberIsolated showers in the far northeast. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 31 OctoberIsolated showers along the coastal fringe and northeast of the state. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
