Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front has recently cleared the far northeast as a high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge across NSW. A weak trough will affect the coast on Saturday with fresh southwest to southerly winds, otherwise the ridge will persist over NSW for the weekend with fine and mild to warm conditions expected with mostly moderate winds. A more significant trough is expected to cross NSW early in the new week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers on the far north coast clearing this morning. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost areas about the southern and central ranges and adjacent western slopes. Mild, moderate southwest winds, tending southeast to northeasterly along the coast.Fire Danger -  Very high: Greater Sydney, Greater Hunter, North Western.Saturday 26 OctoberMostly sunny. Early frost patches about the southern and central ranges. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh along the southern and central coast.Sunday 27 OctoberThe chance of showers near the coast and near the Victorian border. Mostly sunny remainder. Southwest to southeast winds.Monday 28 OctoberIsolated showers in the east and south with southeast to northeast winds.
