MELBOURNE - Oct 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the south of the State is moving eastwards and will be centred over Victoria on Tuesday evening. A cold front will extend across the southeast of the State later on Wednesday and then a ridge of high pressure will extend over the south of the State on Thursday and Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area, tending to areas of rain over Kangaroo Island and the South East district, all contracting eastwards and easing during the afternoon and evening. Isolated showers elsewhere. Isolated thunderstorms contracting eastwards during the day, to be confined to the eastern border in the evening. Cool to mild in the west and south, grading to hot to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds extending throughout.Wednesday 23 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural area, possibly extending to the West Coast, northern Flinders and southern Pastorals, contracting to the coasts by late afternoon. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 24 OctoberIsolated showers in the Lower South East. Possible isolate morning showers about the remainder of the coasts. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending east to northeasterly in the west.Friday 25 OctoberPossible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast during the morning and developing later in the far west. Mild to warm with light winds, tending moderate west to southwest in the southeast and moderate northeast in the west.
