Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 18/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over far northeastern New South Wales is weakening as a high pressure system moves over southeastern Australia extending a ridge to the north coast. This high will move over the Tasman Sea by Saturday and the it will continue to move east maintaining the ridge to the north coast.. During Monday another low pressure trough will deepen over the west of the state and it is expected to move slowly to the east over the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and thunderstorms on the north coast and ranges, contracting east . Mostly clear in the remainder Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 19 OctoberIsolated showers on the far north coast, clearing early. Mostly sunny remainder.Early frost patches on the southern and central slopes and ranges. North to northeasterly winds tending easterly in the far northeast.Sunday 20 OctoberMostly sunny. Hot in the northwest. Northerly winds.Monday 21 OctoberThe chance of showers in the south. Partly cloudy in the north. Northeast to southeast winds.Tuesday 22 OctoberIsolated showers in the southern inland with the chance of thunderstorms on the western slopes of the southern ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
