Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred in the northern Tasman Sea is moving east extending a ridge over New South Wales. This high will maintain a ridge to the state's northeast today as a cold front approaching the western border. The front is expected to cross the state during Thursday with another ridge developing in its wake by Friday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPatchy morning fog and frost about the ranges and slopes, mainly in the north. Sunny day, becoming very warm. Northwest to northeast winds increasing during the afternoon ahead of a late southwesterly change in the far southwest with possible raised dust.Fire Danger -  Very High northeast of the state and Northern Riverina.Thursday 17 OctoberShowers and thunderstorms developing in northern and southern districts. Very warm in the north and east. Fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds ahead of a cool west to southwesterly change reaching the northeast in the evening.Friday 18 OctoberIsolated showers in the far northeast. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 19 OctoberIsolated showers on and east of the ranges in the north, more frequent near the coast. Mostly sunny remainder.
