MELBOURNE - Oct 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred near the western border is moving east extending a ridge over New South Wales. This high will move over the western Tasman Sea tomorrow maintaining a ridge to the state's northwest. A cold front is expected to cross the state during Thursday with another ridge developing behind it on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMostly clear. Light winds, east to northeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 16 OctoberPatchy morning fog and frost about the ranges and slopes, mainly in the north. Sunny day. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly on the coast.Fire Danger - Very High northeast of the state and Northern Riverina.Thursday 17 OctoberShowers and thunderstorms developing in northern and southern districts. Fresh to strong north to northwesterly winds ahead of a west to southwesterly change reaching the northeast in the evening.Friday 18 OctoberIsolated showers in the far northeast. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 19 OctoberIsolated showers on and east of the ranges in the north, more frequent near the coast. Mostly sunny remainder.
