Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near the western border is moving east extending a ridge over New South Wales. This high will move over the western Tasman Sea by Wednesday maintaining a ridge to the state's northwest. The next cold front will cross the state during Thursday with another ridge developing behind it on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayThe chance of showers on the north coast. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds tending east to northeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 16 OctoberMostly sunny. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly on the coast.Thursday 17 OctoberShowers and thunderstorms developing in northern and southern districts. Fresh to strong north to northwesterly winds ahead of a west to southwesterly change reaching the northeast in the evening.Friday 18 OctoberIsolated showers in the far northeast. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds tending north to northeasterly near the coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDN10031
