MELBOURNE - Oct 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front is crossing far northeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system north of the Bight is moving east extending a ridge behind the front. This high will move over the western Tasman Sea by Wednesday and it will continue to move east maintaining the ridge to the northwest. The next cold front will cross the state during Thursday with another ridge developing behind it on Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers on the central coast. Isolated showers in the northeast clearing early. The chance of afternoon showers in the southeast. Mostly sunny in the remainder. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Very High in parts of the northeast.Tuesday 15 OctoberThe chance of showers on the north coast. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds tending east to northeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 16 OctoberMostly sunny. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly on the coast.Thursday 17 OctoberShowers and thunderstorms developing in northern and southern districts.
