MELBOURNE - Oct 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong cold front preceded by hot and gusty northwesterly winds will move through central and southeastern parts of the state today and through the northeast early on Monday. Behind the front another high pressure ridge will develop over southeastern Australia. The next cold front front is expected to cross the state during Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the northern inland and falling as snow on the high peaks of the Snowy Mountains. Hot and gusty northwesterly winds ahead of a milder southwesterly change reaching the northeast at night.Monday 14 OctoberIsolated showers clearing from the northeast early, and developing in the southeast later. Mostly sunny remainder. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Very High in parts of the northeast.Tuesday 15 OctoberThe chance of showers on the north coast. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds tending east to northeasterly near the coast.Wednesday 16 OctoberFine and mostly sunny. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, tending northeasterly on the coast.Thursday 17 OctoberShowers and thunderstorms developing in northern and southern districts.
