Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 12/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front near Eucla will extend eastwards, reaching a line Cleve to Victor Harbor late afternoon and move over the remainder of coastal waters early evening. A more vigorous front will move over southern coasts early Sunday morning. A high will ridge over the Bight on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible isolated showers developing in the evening about southern and western coasts. Mild near southern coasts, warm to hot elsewhere. Light to moderate north to northwest winds, freshening in the south, ahead of a cooler fresh to strong southwest change reaching a line Ernabella to Victor Harbor late afternoon and Oodnadatta to Renmark late evening. Areas of raised dust over the Northwest Pastoral district with the change.Sunday 13 OctoberThe chance of isolated showers and thunder over the Flinders and Northeast Pastoral districts in the morning. Scattered showers with possible small hail and thunder developing early morning over the agricultural area, with isolated showers extending over the remainder south of about Woomera, becoming isolated during the afternoon and contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to cold in the south and about the ranges, grading to mild in the far north. Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds, easing during the evening.Monday 14 OctoberThe chance of isolated early morning showers near Spencer Gulf coasts. Isolated showers near southern coasts and in the South East district, contracting to the coast in the evening. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cool to cold in the south, grading to mild in the far north.Tuesday 15 OctoberFine apart from the chance of isolated light showers in the Lower South East until evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the far north and west. Mainly light northeast to northwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, with isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm. Less than 2 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area, with less than 1 mm further north.Wednesday until FridayFine on Wednesday until isolated showers develop near southern coasts from late afternoon, extending over the southern agricultural area on Thursday, clearing by Friday. Generally mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Mainly moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh at times in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
