Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move east across the State today. A trough of low pressure will move over the west and south of the State on Saturday and the northeast on Sunday as a cold pool of air moves over the southeast.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated light showers about the Lower South East coast, fine elsewhere apart from patchy morning fog. Light to moderate westerly winds in the south, fresh to strong about southern coasts in the morning, tending southeast to northeast in the north.Saturday 12 OctoberPossible isolated showers developing in the evening about southern coasts and the Lower South East district. Fine otherwise. Cool to mild about the coast, warm to hot inland. Light to moderate northwest winds, freshening in the south, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest change moving across western parts of the State during the morning then reaching central and eastern parts during the afternoon and evening. Southwesterly winds becoming strong about the coasts.Sunday 13 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast. Possible isolated morning thunder south of about Adelaide. Cool with fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds.Monday 14 OctoberIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East district, contracting to the coasts in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday to midnight Monday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area, reaching 5 to 10 mm over the Lower South East district. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers about the Lower South East, extending to Kangaroo Island and Fleurieu Peninsula on Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
