MELBOURNE - Oct 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front in the northeast is expected to gradually weaken by Friday afternoon. A high pressure ridge will develop across NSW today with milder, lighter winds expected. Northeasterly winds will strengthen along much of the coast again on Saturday as the next front approaches the west of the state. This front will cross the state during Sunday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers possible along the coast, clearing in southern and central parts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Milder, moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly along the coast later.Fire Danger - Very high for the northeast.Saturday 12 OctoberMostly sunny. Northwest to northeast winds, freshening along the coast. Hot day in the northwest.Sunday 13 OctoberIsolated showers developing across much of the state during the day, more likely over the central inland. Possible isolated thunderstorms. Hot day in the northeast half. Strong and gusty northwesterly winds ahead of a southwesterly change.Monday 14 OctoberIsolated showers about the northeast. Mostly sunny remainder.
