MELBOURNE - Oct 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is moving from southeastern Australia over the Tasman Sea. A strong cold front preceded by squally, hot northwesterly winds will cross New South Wales during Thursday followed by another, weak high pressure ridge developing briefly behind the front on Friday. Another, weaker cold front is expected to move through the state during Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayDry and mostly sunny. Early morning frost and fog patches on the southern ranges. Northeast to northwest winds.Fire Danger - Very High: North Coast, Hunter, Sydney and IllawarraThursday 10 OctoberIsolated showers developing in the far south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Areas of raised dust inland.
