MELBOURNE - Oct 8/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1019 hPa near Adelaide will move over northern Victoria this afternoon. Northerly winds will strengthen on Wednesday, ahead of a cold front moving east and reaching Nullarbor around midday, Naracoorte to Tarcoola late evening and the far northeast corner of the State around midnight Thursday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly fog patches over the agricultural area, then fine. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north and west. Light winds, tending moderate to fresh northeasterly in the west.Wednesday 9 OctoberDry, with areas of raised dust in the west. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, becoming strong and gusty about western and central districts, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwesterly change extending across western districts during the day and southern coasts in the evening.Thursday 10 OctoberIsolated showers developing about southern coasts and ranges with possible showers extending across the west coast and agricultural area with a cooler fresh southwest change. Showers contracting to southern coasts by evening. Moderate to fresh southwest winds extending throughout during the evening. Fresh northerly winds in the far northeast at first with possible raised dust. Hot in the far northeast, cool to mild elsewhere.Friday 11 OctoberPossible isolated showers about the Lower South East, fine elsewhere. Moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong about southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about southern coasts. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.
