MELBOURNE - Oct 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over southeastern Australia is moving east and it will move over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. A strong cold front preceded by gusty, hot northwesterly winds will cross New South Wales during Thursday follow by another, weak high pressure ridge developing briefly the front on Friday. Another, weaker cold front is expected to move through the state during Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the south and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Mostly clear elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Tuesday 8 OctoberIsolated coastal showers and clearing showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds.Fire Danger - Very High on the Far North Coast and on the Northern Slopes.Wednesday 9 OctoberIsolated clearing showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early morning frost and fog patches on the southern ranges. Northeast to northwest winds.Thursday 10 OctoberIsolated showers developing in the far south. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
