Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is crossing northeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system near the Bight is moving east extending a ridge behind the front. The high will move over the Tasman Sea Wednesday before a strong cold front crosses the state Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the southern coast and ranges, extending to the north coast and adjacent ranges later this afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High to Severe in the northeast.Tuesday 8 OctoberIsolated coastal showers and clearing showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds.Wednesday 9 OctoberIsolated clearing showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early morning frost and fog patches on the southern ranges. Northeast to northwest winds.Thursday 10 OctoberIsolated showers developing in the far south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds becoming gusty in the west and southeast ahead of a late southwesterly change in the southwest.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
