Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure will be maintained over the south of the State until Tuesday, after which a high pressure system will develop over NSW as northerly winds extend over SA from the west. Winds will strengthen on Wednesday ahead of a cold front moving over the west of the State later Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayLight drizzle over the Mount Lofty Ranges district the Adelaide Metropolitan area, clearing by sunrise. Isolated showers over Kangaroo Island, and the South East district, contracting to the Lower South East by midday then clearing by evening. The chance of isolated light showers from middle level cloud north of about Cleve to Loxton and south of Hawker, clearing by evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, tending light northerly in the far north.Monday 7 OctoberIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island, southern Fleurieu Peninsula and the Lower South East district. Fine elsewhere apart from morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning southwest to southeast in the afternoon.Tuesday 8 October

Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north and west. Light winds, tending moderate northeasterly in the west.
Wednesday 9 OctoberDry with areas of raised dust in the west. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strengthening about western and central districts, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwest change across the far west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers extending across the agricultural area and south of the pastorals with a cooler southwest change, tending scattered in the southeast, becoming isolated and contracting to southern coasts and clearing on Friday, then developing later on Saturday in the Lower South East with the passage of another change on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
