Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over southeast Australia. The high will gradually move eastwards during the weekend. A cold front is then expected to cross the state today and during Monday. Another high pressure ridge is expected to develop over the region on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers developing in the far southeast this afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to northwesterly winds strengthening in southern and central districts.Fire Danger -  Severe: Sydney Metropolitan, Very High: Remainder of NSW, except central west and southwest.Monday 7 OctoberIsolated coastal showers and isolated showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest winds tending south to southeasterly near the coast.Tuesday 8 OctoberIsolated coastal showers, more frequent along the coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds.Wednesday 9 OctoberIsolated coastal showers in the north. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
