MELBOURNE - Oct 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure over the far south of the pastoral districts will move slowly northwards to be over the far north of the State late Sunday and another trough will move across the South East district on Sunday morning. A high over the Bight early Sunday will move eastwards, but a ridge of high pressure will be maintained over the south of the State until northerly winds strengthen on Wednesday, ahead of a cold front moving over the west of the State. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from the chance of isolated light showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Mild near southern coasts grading to hot in the north and west. Mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, tending warm to hot with light to moderate northerly winds in the north.Sunday 6 OctoberEarly morning fog patches over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastorals. Early morning drizzle over the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges and the Metropolitan area. Isolated showers over Kangaroo Island, the south of the Murraylands and the South East district, contracting to the South East district in the afternoon and clearing in the evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, tending light northerly in the far north.Monday 7 OctoberIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island, southern Fleurieu Peninsula and the Lower South East district. Fine elsewhere apart from morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, turning southwest to southeast in the afternoon.Tuesday 8 October Early fog patches over the agricultural area and possible isolated early showers over the Lower South East coast, then fine. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north and west. Light winds, tending moderate northeasterly in the west. Wednesday 9 OctoberDry with areas of raised dust in the west. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strengthening about western and central districts, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwest change across the far west.
