Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low south of Tasmania is moving eastward and producing a vigorous west to southwesterly airstream over southern parts of the State today. A high will develop over the State on Thursday and then move east on Friday. A low pressure trough will move across the State during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated gusty showers over the agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers about the southern agricultural area east of Yorke Peninsula until evening. Showers contracting to the southern agricultural area and northern Spencer Gulf coasts in the evening. The chance of isolated thunderstorms until early evening in the southeast. Possible small hail this evening over the South East districts. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong to gale force about southern coasts.Thursday 3 OctoberIsolated showers about southern coasts during the morning, and possible early showers over northern Spencer Gulf coasts. Possible early morning small hail over the Lower South East. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, becoming light to moderate south to southeasterly during the day. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north.Friday 4 OctoberFine. Cool to cold at first over the Flinders Ranges and Murraylands with possible frost patches otherwise a mild to warm day in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds turning northerly during the day.Saturday 5 OctoberFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Moderate northerly winds shifting moderate southerly in the south later.Sunday 6 OctoberFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Moderate north to northwesterly winds ahead of a southerly change in the south and west reaching the northeast by the late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon to midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 2 mm.Monday until WednesdayFine apart from possible isolated showers over the Lower South East on Monday and possible isolated showers developing about southern coastal districts on Wednesday. Generally warm to hot ahead of a milder change about southern coasts on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
