U.S. Sorghum Stocks Plunge 34%
WASHINGTON - Sep 30/13 - SNS -- Old crop grain sorghum stored in all positions on September 1, 2013 totaled 15.0 million bushels, down 34% from a year ago, according to the USDA's stocks in all positions report.
On-farm stocks, at 602,000 bushels, are down 48% from last year. Off-farm stocks, at 14.4 million bushels, are down 34% from September 1, 2012. The June - August 2013 indicated disappearance from all positions is 26.1 million bushels, down 27% from the same period a year ago.
