Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over western coasts will move across the majority of the State on Monday, then the far northeast on Tuesday. Another front will pass over southern coasts on Wednesday before a high develops over the State on Thursday and then moves east on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from the chance of isolated thunderstorms in the far west this evening. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds.Monday 30 SeptemberPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and parts of the pastoral districts, increasing to areas of patchy rain during the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms developing from the west during the day. Hot with fresh north to northwesterly winds, becoming strong to gale force in parts during the day with areas of raised dust. Winds turning cooler fresh south to southwest in the west and far south.Tuesday 1 OctoberIsolated showers over the west coast and agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts during the afternoon and evening. Patchy rain and possible thunderstorms over the Flinders and Northeast Pastoral, clearing east of the border during the morning. Cooler fresh southwest winds, gradually extending throughout.Wednesday 2 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and west coast, increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts and ranges. Showers contracting to southern coasts during the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts.Thursday 3 OctoberIsolated showers about southern coasts during the morning, otherwise fine. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, becoming variable during the day. Mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm generally over the agricultural area, increasing to 5 to 15 about the southern agricultural area and reaching 15 to 25 mm in the Lower South East. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Friday until SundayFine conditions with mild to warm temperatures in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate northerly winds, becoming fresh northerly on Saturday ahead of a milder southwesterly change. Possible isolated showers about southern coasts on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
