MELBOURNE - Sep 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough is moving through southeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge behind the front. This high will move over the Tasman Sea on Sunday and then it will move east maintaining the ridge the northeast. During Tuesday a cold front preceded by showers is expected to move through the state follow by another front on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges. North to northwesterly winds turning gusty west to southwesterly in the west and southeast.Sunday 29 SeptemberMostly sunny. Early frost patches about the tablelands, mainly in the south. South to southwesterly winds in the east, and generally light winds in the west.Monday 30 SeptemberMostly sunny. Northwest to northeasterly winds becoming fresh to strong in the south and west.Tuesday 1 OctoberRain areas extending from west, reaching central and southeastern areas later in the day and becoming more widespread on western slopes of the tablelands. Possible thunderstorms over the central and northern inland. Partly cloudy in the northeast. North to northwesterly winds becoming fresh to strong in many areas, before a southwesterly change moves through from the west.Wednesday 2 OctoberMostly clear in the far west. Isolated showers in the remainder.
