Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the north of the State will move over the eastern states on Sunday. A cold front will move over the far west coast Sunday evening and across the west and south of the State on Monday. Another front will pass over southern coasts on Tuesday and Wednesday before a high develops over the State on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated light showers over the southern agricultural area, clearing by evening. Cool in the south grading to warm in the north with light to moderate southwest to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong near southern coasts this morning.Sunday 29 SeptemberFine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light winds becoming moderate to fresh north to northwesterly during the day.Monday 30 SeptemberPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts more likely south of about Clare during the evening. Hot with north to northwesterly winds, becoming strong during the day with areas of raised dust. Winds turning cooler fresh south to southwest in the west and far south.Tuesday 1 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastorals and possibly over the remainder except the far northwest. Cooler fresh southwest winds, gradually extending throughout.Wednesday 2 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and west coast, increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts and ranges. Showers contracting to southern coasts during the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm generally over the agricultural area, increasing to 5 to 10 about the southern agricultural area and reaching 10 to 20 mm in the Lower South East. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers about southern coasts early on Thursday then fine throughout for the remainder. Variable winds, becoming moderate to fresh northerly by Saturday. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north and west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
