MELBOURNE - Sep 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front near Whyalla to Mt Gambier at 3pm, will extend into the Northeast Pastoral tonight. Another front will move across the Lower South East overnight. A high will develop over the Nullarbor Plain early Saturday then move across the State during the day. A cold front will move over the far west coast Sunday evening and across the west and south of the State on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, tending scattered south of about Keith. Isolated squally thunderstorms possible over eastern districts south of about Renmark, contracting to the Lower South East coast in the evening. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strengthening about southern coasts tonight and reaching gale force about the Lower South East coast late evening.Saturday 28 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, scattered in the Lower South East early morning and contracting southwards to the Lower South East in the evening. Cool in the south grading to warm in the north with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, strong at first about southern coasts, easing during the day and becoming light about central parts and moderate easterly in the far west in the evening.Sunday 29 SeptemberFine. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north and west. Light winds becoming moderate to fresh north to northwesterly during the day.Monday 30 SeptemberPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Hot with north to northwest winds, becoming strong during the day with areas of raised dust apart from near ocean coasts, turning cooler fresh south to southwest in the west and far south.Tuesday 1 OctoberIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastorals and possibly over the remainder except the far northwest. Cooler fresh southwest winds, gradually extending throughout. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area reaching 5 to 10 mm in the Lower South East.
