Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over the Bight will reach western Victoria on Friday afternoon and move eastwards across the State Friday night and early Saturday. Another cold front will move across southern Victoria on Saturday morning with a high pressure system to follow across southern NSW later Saturday and Sunday. Another cold front will approach western Victoria later Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning frost patches over the north and isolated early morning showers about the South Gippsland coast. A mostly dry and sunny day ahead of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing from the southwest during the afternoon and reaching central parts during the evening. Light winds tending moderate to locally fresh northerly over western and central districts during the afternoon. Afternoon seabreezes developing near the Gippsland coast and winds shifting fresh west to southwesterly from the west during the late afternoon and evening.Saturday 28 SeptemberScattered showers near and south of the ranges, becoming isolated from the west during the afternoon and contracting to the coast during the evening. Only isolated showers in the northwest during the morning and early afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms and small hail possible in the south, contracting eastwards. Showers falling as snow down to 1200 metres. A cool day with fresh west to northwest winds shifting west to southwesterly from the west, strong to gale force about the coast.Sunday 29 SeptemberDry apart from morning showers along the southwest and Gippsland coasts. A mild to warm day. Becoming mainly sunny by the afternoon with mainly moderate westerly wind tending northwesterly from the west.Monday 30 SeptemberCloud increasing from the west with isolated showers developing in the west during the afternoon and reaching central parts by the evening. A generally warm to hot day with moderate to locally fresh north to northwest wind easing about the west coast in the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
