MELBOURNE - Sep 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong cold front crossing New South Wales will move to the Tasman Sea tonight, while an associated low pressure system deepens to the east of Tasmania. A high over South Australia will drift east behind the front, maintaining fine conditions as it passes over New South Wales during Friday. The next cold front is forecast to cross the state during Saturday, followed by another high. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers in the southeast, falling as snow about the Alps, clearing during the evening. Possible thunder in the far southeast. Otherwise fine. Gusty west to southwesterly winds extending throughout, tending southerly in the far west and on the northern coast later.Friday 27 SeptemberFine and mostly sunny. Early frost patches about the tablelands, mainly in the south. Generally light winds turning northwest to northeasterly and freshening in the west.Fire Danger - Very High: North West Slopes and Plains.Saturday 28 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southeastern inland, and possibly about the northeast in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Warm day across the north. Northerly winds turning cooler west to southwesterly, strong and gusty in the southeast.Sunday 29 SeptemberFine and mostly sunny.
