Weather Situation A northwesterly airstream is expected over the south ahead of a trough of low pressure moving over the State later Wednesday. A high will develop over the Bight early Thursday and move steadily eastwards to reach the east coast on Friday morning. Another trough of low pressure moves over SA during Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible isolated showers about the Lower South East overnight. Cool to mild. Moderate west to northwesterly winds, turning light to moderate west to southwesterly in the west and north this evening.Wednesday 25 SeptemberPossible isolated showers over the Lower South East district early morning. Cloud increasing over agricultural areas with patchy rain developing during the afternoon, less likely in the far southeast. Following the patchy rain, isolated showers will extend over the northern agricultural area with scattered showers, possible thunderstorms and small hail moving over in southern agricultural areas in the late afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds strengthening about the coast ahead of a fresh to strong and gusty west to southwesterly change extending over western parts in the afternoon and reaching central districts in the evening. Areas of raised dust over the West Coast and Northwest Pastoral districts in the afternoon and early evening.Thursday 26 SeptemberScattered showers, isolated thunderstorms and small hail over southern coastal areas until sunrise. Otherwise, isolated showers over agricultural areas easing and contracting southwards during the day, and clearing by evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds easing during the day then becoming light and variable in the evening.Friday 27 SeptemberIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers with possible thunderstorms about southern coastal areas in the evening. Mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate northerly winds at first ahead of a fresh an gusty southwesterly change, strong at times in the west with areas of raised dust from late morning.Saturday 28 September Scattered showers about southern coastal areas before sunrise. Otherwise, isolated showers about the agricultural area contracting to the Lower South East and clearing in the evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Generally light winds inland and moderate to fresh southwesterly winds in the south easing Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to vary between 2 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area, increasing to 15 to 25 mm about the Lower South East coast. less than 2 mm elsewhere. Sunday until TuesdayFine at first ahead of another southwesterly change, possibly bringing isolated showers to the agricultural areas and southern parts of the Pastoral districts later in the period.
