Weather Situation A high pressure ridge over New South Wales is weakening as a low pressure trough approaches from the west. This trough preceded by hot and dry northerly winds will move through eastern parts of the state during Tuesday.Tuesday. Another trough is expected to move through during Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMostly sunny. Hot day in most central and northern districts. West to northwesterly winds, locally fresh to strong and gusty in the east. Winds tending northeasterly along the far north coast. A late southerly change on the south coast.Fire Danger - Very high to severe in the northeast including Sydney Metropolitan.Wednesday 25 SeptemberMostly sunny. Hot day for the northern inland. West to northwesterly winds tending fresh northeasterly along the coast.Thursday 26 SeptemberIsolated showers developing in the southern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Hot day in the northeast. Increasing northwest winds before a cool and gusty southwesterly change in the west and southeast.Friday 27 SeptemberThe chance of showers on the far north coast and ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
