MELBOURNE - Sep 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over western Victoria will weaken as it moves across the east of the State on Sunday but an associated upper level trough will maintain an unstable atmosphere over the eastern half of the State for most of the day. A cold front will reach western Victoria on Monday afternoon, crossing the State Monday night and early Tuesday with another front to slip southeastwards over Tasmania on Tuesday. A stronger cold front will move into western Victoria late on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over central and eastern districts, contracting to the east by the afternoon and clearing during the evening. Local early fog patches in the southwest. A mild to warm day with light and variable winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 23 SeptemberDry, warm and and mainly sunny. Cloud increasing from the west during the afternoon with just the chance of a shower or two about the southwest during the afternoon. Moderate to fresh northerly winds. Locally raised dust possible over the northwest.Tuesday 24 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southwest and central district mainly during the afternoon. A warm day with moderate west to northwesterly winds, fresh at times in the south.Wednesday 25 SeptemberDry apart from isolated showers possible over the southwest.
