MELBOURNE - Sep 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high will move over the north of the State on Friday and a trough of low pressure will move across the west on Saturday and then weaken. Another trough will move over the State on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayEarly fog patches over western districts south of Roxby Downs and in the Flinders district. Isolated light showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting southwards during the afternoon and clearing late evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the far north and west. Chiefly light winds, turning moderate northerly in the west.Saturday 21 SeptemberEarly fog patches over Kangaroo island and east of the ranges. Possible isolated morning showers over the South East district. Isolated afternoon showers on and east of the ranges, with the chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms east of the ranges. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh in the west, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest change extending over western districts during the day.Sunday 22 SeptemberFine apart from possible isolated showers in the South East district early morning. Early fog patches over the southern agricultural area and West Coast district. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north and west. Light and variable winds tending moderate northerly in the far west in the afternoon.Monday 23 SeptemberFine apart from possible isolated showers over the Lower South East. Mild in the south grading to hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong over the Northeast Pastoral bringing areas of raised dust, ahead of a moderate westerly change extending to the far northeast late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon to midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching to 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East. Less than 1 mm is expected elsewhere.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers about southern coastal districts. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north.
