Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad trough of low pressure is moving across the northeastern New South Wales, with a milder southwesterly airmass to follow on today as a a high pressure system drifts across the state in a wake of the trough. Another low pressure trough towards the NSW western border late Thursday, then across the state on Friday, producing showery conditions across most districts.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe chance of showers in the far south, chiefly about alpine areas and falling as snow about the peaks. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Mainly west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers developing over the western inland and in the far southeast, most widespread near the South Australian border. Fine elsewhere. Mainly northwest to southwesterly winds.Friday 13 SeptemberShowers over most of the state, with the chance of thunderstorms in the far southwest and far northeast. Clearing in the west during the day. Southeast to northeast winds, turning south to southwesterly in the far west.Saturday 14 SeptemberIsolated showers in the east of the state. Southwesterly winds extending throughout most of the state, although remaining northeasterly to southeasterly along most coastal districts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDN10031
