Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across southern Victoria on Wednesday with a high pressure ridge to follow on Thursday. The ridge will move to over the Tasman Sea on Friday as a low pressure trough approaches western Victoria and crosses the State before weakening.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered near the coast. Isolated thunderstorms possible near the coast. Snowfalls above 1300 metres. Mostly cloudy day with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly wind, stronger near the coast.Wednesday 11 SeptemberScattered showers over southern and mountain districts and isolated showers developing on the northern plains. Snowfalls in Alpine regions above 1300 metres. Cool to cold and mostly cloudy with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly wind, stronger near the coast.Thursday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers over southern and eastern areas clearing during the morning but isolated showers developing in the west later in the afternoon and evening. Morning fog and frost patches in the north and west then a cool and partly cloudy day with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds tending northeasterly from the west.Friday 13 SeptemberIsolated showers extending eastwards during the day and tending to areas of rain from the west. The chance of isolated thunderstorms extending to eastern areas. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy with mainly moderate east to northeasterly winds.Saturday 14 SeptemberRain areas in the east clearing during the morning. Isolated showers to follow, mainly over southern and mountain areas and contracting to the coast and far east at night. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy with moderate northeast wind shifting westerly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
