Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad trough of low pressure is moving across the New South Wales while a weak high pressure ridge lies over the far northeast. Although milder conditions are expected to follow the trough in the west on Tuesday, most areas will not receive any rainfall with this system. Following this, another high is expected to drift across New South Wales mid-week ahead of the next trough, which is likely to affect the region during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers with the chance of thunder in the southeast, possibly extending through central and northwestern parts during the day. A very warm day across the north. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast. A milder west to southwesterly change extending through the remainder, turning southeasterly on the southern coast later.Wednesday 11 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the far south, chiefly about alpine areas and falling as snow about the peaks. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Mainly west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers over the western inland and in the far southeast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mainly northwest to southwesterly winds.Friday 13 SeptemberIsolated showers through central western parts, and on the northern coastal fringe. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds, turning south to southwesterly in the far west later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
