Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the Bight will move eastwards to be near Broken Hill late Wednesday morning then over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A trough will move across western parts of the State on Thursday and remaining parts on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible morning fog patches in the west. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area contracting south during the day and increasing to scattered showers about the Lower South East district during the afternoon. Possible isolated morning showers over the south of the northern agricultural area and over Eyre Peninsula. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate southwest to southerly winds, fresh in the southeast.Wednesday 11 SeptemberIsolated showers in the southeast, clearing by early evening. Possible isolated thundery showers in the west, with possible isolated showers reaching central parts in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest in the southeast and moderate to fresh northerly winds in the far west. Light winds elsewhere.Thursday 12 SeptemberCloud increasing with possible isolated thundery showers, tending to patchy rain over the agricultural area except the South East district and southern parts of the pastoral districts. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds, turning west to southwest in the west.Friday 13 SeptemberPatchy rain in the southeast, clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers over the rest of the agricultural area, contracting to southern coastal districts in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds in the southeast turning southwest over the remainder. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, 5 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals and less than 5 mm elsewhere.Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers clearing early about southern coasts and developing in the west on Saturday. Isolated showers or patchy rain over the agricultural area and south of the pastorals on Sunday and Monday, with the chance of isolated showers further north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
