Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 8/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over eastern New South Wales, while a trough of low pressure approaches from the west. Between these features, increasing northerly winds will continue to bring warm conditions to the state during Monday. Milder conditions will follow as the trough moves through western districts later Monday and continues towards the northeast on Tuesday, although most areas will not receive any rainfall with this system. Following this, another high is expected to drift across New South Wales mid-week ahead of the next trough, likely to affect the region during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of showers or drizzle patches along the coastal and adjacent ranges south of Coffs Harbour. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 9 SeptemberPossible early showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, and about the the southern inland later in the day. Otherwise fine, with some high cloud across the south. Warm to very warm day through most of the state. Northeast to northwesterly winds, becoming strong and gusty near the coast and in the far west through the day. A late westerly change in the west.Tuesday 10 SeptemberIsolated showers in the southeast, possibly extending through central and northwestern parts during the day. Very warm day across the north. North to northwesterly winds in the northeast. A milder west to southwesterly change extending through the remainder, turning southeasterly on the southern coast later.Wednesday 11 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the far south, chiefly about alpine areas and falling as snow about the peaks. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Mainly west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers over the western inland. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
