Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over Victoria will move over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A low pressure system south of Western Australia will move south of the Bight today then move southeastwards towards Bass Strait on Monday with an associated trough passing over the State during Sunday and Monday. A ridge of high pressure will develop over the State on Tuesday then move east on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated showers near southern coasts. Possible isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far west during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north. Freshening northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west during the day with areas of raised dust in the west during the morning and early afternoon.Monday 9 SeptemberPossible early morning thundery showers west of Nullarbor. Isolated showers over the West Coast and agricultural area, increasing to scattered at times about the southern agricultural area. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west and extending throughout during the day.Tuesday 10 SeptemberIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, possible isolated showers over the remainder of the agricultural area. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate southwest to southerly winds, easing from the west during the day.Wednesday 11 SeptemberPossible isolated showers north of about Woomera. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning west to southwesterly. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 10 to 15 mm about the Lower South East coast, 2 to 10 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayPossible showers east of about Ceduna to Moomba contracting south on Thursday then becoming more likely on Friday and extending over the agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts. Isolated showers over the southern coasts on Saturday with possible showers over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north at first then becoming cooler during the period. Northeasterly winds ahead of a southwesterly change on Thursday then becoming moderate southeast to northeasterly during Friday and Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
