MELBOURNE - Sep 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak cold front will move across southern Victoria today, with a high pressure system moving over Victoria in the wake of the front tonight. A low pressure system will develop over the Bight on Sunday and will move towards Victoria. An associated cold front will move through Victoria later on Monday and during Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the far east clearing during the morning. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered near the coast, extending eastwards during the morning, and then mostly clearing later. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, fresh near the coast, shifting southwesterly during the day.Sunday 8 SeptemberIsolated showers developing over the southwest but fine elsewhere. A cool to mild day, though warmer in the northwest. Light winds.Monday 9 SeptemberScattered showers over southern and mountain districts with isolated showers over the northern plains. Isolated thunderstorms. Cool to mild in the southwest, warm in the north and east. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds shifting west to southwesterly in the south.Tuesday 10 SeptemberScattered showers in southern and mountain districts. Mostly fine over the northern plains with isolated showers possible. Snow above 1500 metres.
