MELBOURNE - Sep 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the Bight will move eastwards during the weekend, reaching the Tasman Sea by Monday. A low pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Sunday and move eastwards south of the State on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated light showers over the agricultural area, contracting east and clearing this evening. Possible isolated thunder in the far west this evening. Cool in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate west to northwesterly in the southeast, northerly in the far north and south to southeasterly elsewhere.Saturday 7 SeptemberIsolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East district, clearing during the afternoon and evening. Isolated showers and Possible isolated thunder in the far west. Mild in the south with light to moderate southerly winds, grading to hot in the north with light to moderate northerly winds.Sunday 8 SeptemberPossible isolated showers near southern coasts. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far west. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north. Freshening northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west during the day.Monday 9 SeptemberIsolated showers over the West Coast and agricultural area, increasing to scattered about the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated showers in the northwest. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west, and extending throughout during the day.Tuesday 10 SeptemberPossible isolated showers in the far north. Isolated showers in the agricultural area. Moderate southwest to southerly winds, easing from the west during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm about the ranges and the South East district, 2 to 5 mm over the rest of the southern agricultural area and far west coast, and less than 2 mm over the remainder of the state.Wednesday until FridayPossible isolated showers on Wednesday. Possible isolated showers in the northeast on Thursday. Isolated showers over the agricultural area on Thursday and Friday. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north.
