Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure is over the northeast of the State. A high over the Bight will move eastwards during the weekend, reaching the Tasman Sea by Monday. A low pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Sunday and move eastwards south of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the West Coast district, far south of the Northwest Pastoral and the agricultural area, tending scattered at times during the day. Possible isolated thunder in the far west. Cool in the south grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate westerly winds in the southeast, tending northerly in the far north and southerly elsewhere.Saturday 7 SeptemberIsolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East district, clearing late afternoon. Isolated showers developing about western coasts, with possible isolated thunder in the far west. Mild in the south with light to moderate southerly winds, grading to hot in the north with light to moderate northerly winds.Sunday 8 SeptemberIsolated showers near southern coasts. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far west. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the north. Freshening northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west during the day.Monday 9 SeptemberIsolated showers over the West Coast and agricultural area, increasing to scattered about the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated showers in the North West Pastoral district. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting west to southwesterly in the west, and extending throughout during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning to midnight Monday are expected to be 10 to 15 mm about southern coasts and ranges and the South East district, 5 to 10 mm over the rest of the southern agricultural area and far west coast, 2 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the far south of the pastorals.Tuesday until ThursdayPossible isolated showers in the Pastoral districts, contracting to the far northeast by Thursday. Isolated showers over the agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Generally moderate southwest to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Friday.Product IDS10033
