Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high will develop over the Bight on Thursday and Friday, and then move eastwards during the weekend, reaching the Tasman sea by Monday. A low pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, West Coast district and south of the Pastoral districts, tending scattered at times over the southern agricultural area until mid afternoon. Warm to hot in the far north with chiefly light northeast to northerly winds. Cool to mild further south with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 SeptemberIsolated showers over the West Coast district, far southwest of the Northwest Pastoral and the agricultural area. Cool in the south grading to hot in the far north. Generally light winds, tending moderate northwesterly near southern coasts. Light to moderate westerly winds in the southeast, tending northerly in the far north and southerly elsewhere.Saturday 7 SeptemberPossible isolated showers over the Flinders Ranges and adjacent parts to the east, clearing early. Isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East district, clearing late afternoon. Isolated showers about western coasts. Mild in the south with light to moderate southerly winds, grading to hot in the north with light to moderate northerly winds.Sunday 8 SeptemberIsolated showers near southern coasts. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning to midnight Sunday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the Nullarbor Plain. 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers over the West Coast district and agricultural area, contracting to central and southern coasts on Wednesday. Possible isolated showers over the pastoral districts, clearing by Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
