MELBOURNE - Sep 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge into New South Wales and will remain the dominant feature over the next few days, promoting generally fine and sunny weather across the state. The next low pressure trough is expected to cross during Thursday and Friday, but appears unlikely to bring significant rainfall. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine apart from the chance of light showers about the northern coast. Winds southeast to northeasterly.Wednesday 4 SeptemberFine apart from the chance of light showers on the far north coast. Early fog patches along the coast and ranges, mostly in the north, otherwise mostly sunny. Early frost patches about the ranges, mainly in the south. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest. Winds east to northeasterly.Thursday 5 SeptemberThe chance of isolated showers near the Victorian border, otherwise fine and partly cloudy. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest. Winds northeast to northwesterly, ahead of a southwesterly change in the far south.Friday 6 SeptemberIsolated showers over the south of the state, otherwise fine and partly cloudy. A warm day in the east and north, tending very warm to hot in the northwest.
