Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 1/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak cold front will move through Bass Strait tonight as the next high pressure system develops over South Australia. This high will move across Victoria on Monday, reaching the Tasman Sea late Tuesday. The next cold front will reach far southwestern Victoria Wednesday night, crossing the remainder of the State on Thursday affecting mainly southern Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine tonight. Northerly winds easing ahead of a weak west to southwesterly change extending eastwards.Monday 2 SeptemberFine after isolated morning fog patches. Patchy cloud at first in the south, then a mild to warm and mainly sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 3 SeptemberMorning fog patches then a fine, mild to warm and mostly sunny day. Light winds tending light to moderate northeast to northerly, although fresh east to southeasterly winds developing along the Gippsland coast during the afternoon and evening.Wednesday 4 SeptemberFine during the day. Isolated showers reaching the far southwest at night. Warm with a freshening north to northeasterly windThursday 5 SeptemberA band of showers extending across the State, although only isolated showers expected over the northern plains and over the far southeast.
