Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 1/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will remain dominant over the Tasman Sea until Wednesday. A trough of low pressure is expected to move across western parts of South Australia on Wednesday, then over the rest of the State on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Mild to warm. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds developing during the evening.Monday 2 SeptemberEarly morning fog patches possible over the Lower South East district. Possible isolated thundery showers in the northwest corner of the State. Warm in the south, grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming moderate to fresh northeast to northerly in the west.Tuesday 3 SeptemberPossible isolated afternoon thundery showers west of about Nullarbor. Warm to hot in the south and east, grading to hot in the northwest corner of the State. Mainly moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west with possible raised dust in the west.Wednesday 4 SeptemberHigh cloud increasing from the west. Isolated showers developing over the West Coast district during the day, then extending to Kangaroo Island and southern parts of the Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula in the evening. Isolated showers possibly reaching the Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East districts by midnight. Generally warm to hot across the State. Moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change reaching central SA late in the day. Possible raised dust in the west.Thursday 5 September
Isolated showers extending over the southern half of the State. Warm to hot in the north and northeast with light to moderate northerly winds. Cool to mild southerly winds extending to the North East Pastoral district by the end of the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be mostly less than 2 mm with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm possible about the coasts.
Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers clearing inland, but persisting about coastal areas. Becoming mild to warm in the south and warm to hot in the north. Generally light winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
