MELBOURNE - Aug 31/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over New Zealand will extend a ridge across the Tasman Sea to eastern Victoria today while a weak cold front will move through Bass Strait later. The next high pressure system will develop over South Australia on Sunday then move across Victoria on Monday, reaching the Tasman Sea late Tuesday. The next cold front will reach far southwestern Victoria Wednesday night. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds, locally fresh in the south and about the ranges.Monday 2 SeptemberFine after isolated morning fog patches.
