Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 31/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over New Zealand will extend a ridge across the Tasman Sea to eastern Victoria for the remainder of the weekend. A weak cold front will move through Bass Strait late Sunday. The next high pressure system will develop over South Australia on Sunday then move across Victoria on Monday, reaching the Tasman Sea late Tuesday. The next cold front will reach far southwestern Victoria Wednesday night.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine tonight with generally light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Sunday 1 SeptemberFine. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds, locally fresh in the south and about the ranges.Monday 2 SeptemberFine after isolated morning fog patches. A mild to warm and sunny day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 3 SeptemberMorning fog patches then a fine, mild to warm and mostly sunny day. Light winds tending east to northeasterly inland and fresh east to southeasterly along the coastal fringe during the afternoon and evening.Wednesday 4 SeptemberFine during the day.
