MELBOURNE - Aug 31/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak high pressure ridge lies over most of New South Wales, while a departing low pressure trough still lingers in the far northeast. The ridge is expected to remain the dominant feature into the new week promoting sunny and relatively hot weather over much of the state. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of some light patchy rain in far western districts, clearing tonight. Fine remainder. Northwesterly winds in the west, southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast.Sunday 1 SeptemberPatchy morning fog on and east of the ranges. The chance of isolated afternoon showers over the northern parts of the Northern Rivers District. Fine and sunny elsewhere. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest. Winds northeast to southeasterly.Monday 2 SeptemberThe chance of isolated showers in the far northeast, otherwise fine and sunny. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest.
