MELBOURNE - Aug 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over New Zealand will extend a ridge across the Tasman Sea to eastern Victoria during the weekend. A trough of low pressure will move through Bass Strait late Sunday and early Monday. The next high pressure system will develop over South Australia on Sunday then move across Victoria on Monday to the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. The next cold front will reach western Victoria on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fog patches inland, mainly in the north. Isolated showers clearing from Gippsland in the morning. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Sunday 1 SeptemberFine. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds, locally fresh near the coast.Monday 2 SeptemberFine after isolated morning fog patches.
