Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high pressure ridge has recently developed over most of New South Wales, while a departing low pressure trough still lingers in the far northeast. The ridge should remain the dominant feature into the new week promoting sunny and relatively hot weather over much of the state.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of some light patchy rain in far western districts. Fine and partly cloudy remainder. Early fog/mist patches about the ranges and inland coastal districts. A warm day. Northwesterly winds in the west, southeast to northeasterly winds along the coast.Sunday 1 SeptemberThe chance of isolated afternoon showers over the northern parts of the Northern Tablelands and Northern Rivers Districts. Fine and sunny otherwise. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest. Wind light and variable, becoming east to northeasterly along the coast.Monday 2 SeptemberThe chance of isolated showers in the far northeast, otherwise fine and sunny. A warm day, tending very warm to hot in the northwest. Wind light and variable, tending southeast to northeasterly along the coast.Tuesday 3 SeptemberThe chance of isolated showers in the far northeast, otherwise fine and sunny.
