MELBOURNE - Aug 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is located over the Tasman Sea. A trough of low pressure will move through eastern Victoria this morning. Another low pressure trough will weaken as it approaches western Victoria on Saturday. The next high pressure system will develop over South Australia on Sunday and move across Victoria on Monday and into the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over most districts, contracting to the south in the evening. Isolated thunderstorms in the southwest this afternoon and evening. A mild and partly cloudy day with a light to moderate northwesterly wind.Saturday 31 AugustFine apart from morning fog patches, mainly in the east and the chance of isolated early showers in the far northwest. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with a light to moderate northerly wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Sunday 1 SeptemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the north and east.
